This is a true limited edition of our world-class Black Whiskey. The barrels are hand-selected by our master sommelier Daiana Paola Milon Mayer. Each barrel is special and offers a unique expression of our Andean Black Corn Whiskey.
SINGLE BARREL
ANDEAN BLACK CORN WHISKEY
The name comes from the Gaelic term “uisge beatha,” which means “Water of Life”; although the true origins of whiskey remain a mystery. Black Whiskey and the idea of using Andean Black Corn stem from the ancient Andean technique of making a homemade beer called Chicha de Jora.
At Don Michael, we have refined this process by adding malted grains to soften the flavor and implemented a state-of-the-art distillation facility to provide the world with a unique Andean Whiskey in the form of Black Whiskey.
The first and best Andean Whiskey®.
APPEARANCE
Dark mahogany.
NOSE
Initial notes of caramel, vanilla, apple, and ripe pear, along with dried fruits like apricots and peaches. A slightly sweet, spicy touch.
PALATE
A powerful flavor. Notes of dried fruits like apricots return, with a light citrus note refreshing the palate, finishing with a prolonged spicy note of clove and nutmeg.
The finish is medium-long, with tones of vanilla and the natural sweetness of wood.
